Doç. Dr. SERTAÇ ARABACIOĞLU

Dr. Sertaç Arabacıoğlu is a full-time Associate Professor at Trakya University Faculty of Education, where he also serves as the Vice Dean responsible for international relations and the Director of the Project Coordination Application and Research Center. He plays an active role in strengthening international collaboration, research capacity, and project development within the university.

His research primarily focuses on the continuing professional development of science teachers, with a particular emphasis on integrating innovative technologies into teaching practices. He is committed to enhancing teachers’ pedagogical competencies and supporting them in designing engaging, technology-rich learning environments aligned with contemporary STEM education approaches.

Dr. Arabacıoğlu is also actively involved in the design and implementation of hands-on, inquiry-based STEM activities for elementary and middle school students. In addition, he leads and organizes teacher professional development programs, including workshops, training camps, and international collaborative learning initiatives. His recent work particularly emphasizes Green STEM education, sustainability, and the integration of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, mixed reality, and digital fabrication into science education.

He is the coordinator of the STEM Innovation LAB at Trakya University, an interdisciplinary learning environment that supports pre-service teachers in developing innovative STEM practices through laboratories focused on digital technologies, artificial intelligence, robotics, and sustainable education.

Dr. Arabacıoğlu is actively involved in European Union-funded projects (Erasmus+ and related initiatives) and collaborates with multiple international partners to develop innovative models for teacher education and STEM integration in higher education.
