Eski Hint ve Yunan dönemlerinden itibaren anlam konusu araştırılmış ve anlama dair çeşitli düşünceler öne sürülmüştür. Anlam sadece kendi adıyla anılan anlambilim çerçevesinde değil felsefe, mantık, psikoloji, antropoloji gibi bilim dallarınca da incelenmiştir. Anlamın etrafı; anlam, anlamın doğası, anlamın anlamı nedir, gibi sorularla çevrilmiştir. Anlamın tanımına dair tartışmalar ise devam etmektedir. Anlam üzerine gerçekleştirilen tanımlar incelendiğinde içerik, anlam, kavram ve konsept tanımlarının birbiriyle karıştığı, kesiştiği ve bütünleştiği görülmektedir. Bununla birlikte yabancı dillerden Türkçeye kazandırılan anlam teriminin yabancı dillerdeki içeriğiyle örtüşmemesi sorunuyla karşılaşılmaktadır. Terim karmaşasından hareketle C. K. Ogden ve I. A. Richards’ın ünlü modeli olan anlam üçgeninin geliştirilebilir yönlerinin olup olmadığı sorusu bu araştırmayı yapmaya teşvik etmiştir. Bu çalışmada öncelikle içerik, anlam, kavram ve konsept terimleri üzerinde durulmakta, içeriği/anlamı tespit etmeye yönelik oluşturulan modellerden Ogden ve Richards’ın anlam üçgenine odaklanılmakta ve bu model üzerine geliştirilen çalışmalar değerlendirilmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı elde edilen bulgular temelinde yeni bir anlam modeli hazırlamaktır. Bu çerçevede çalışmada anlam onbirgeni modeli öne sürülmüştür. Araştırma yöntemi olarak betimleme ve karşılaştırma yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın içerik, anlam, kavram ve konsept terimlerinin birbiriyle benzeyen ve ayrılan yönlerinin belirlenmesine ve anlama ulaşılmasına yönelik yaklaşımların geliştirilmesine katkı sağlayacağı ümit edilmektedir.
Since the ancient Indian and Greek periods, the subject of meaning has been researched and various ideas about meaning have been put forward. Meaning has been studied not only within the framework of semantics, which is named after itself, but also by disciplines such as philosophy, logic, psychology, and anthropology. Environment of the meaning surrounded with questions such as meaning, nature of meaning, meaning of meaning. Discussions on the definition of meaning continue. When the definitions on meaning are examined, it is seen that the definitions of content, meaning, notion and concept are mixed with each other, intersect and integrate. However, the problem is that the term meaning, which is brought into Turkish from foreign languages, does not coincide with its content in foreign languages. Based on the term confusion, the question of whether the semantic triangle, which is a famous model of C. K. Ogden and I. A. Richards, has any developmental aspects triggered this research. In this study, the terms content, meaning, notion and concept are emphasized, focusing on Ogden and Richards semantic triangle, which is one of the models created to determine the content, and the studies developed on this triangle are evaluated. The aim of the study is to prepare a new semantic model on the basis of the findings. In this context, the semantic hendecagon model has been proposed in the study. Descriptive and comparison methods were used as research methods. On the basis of the findings, a new model, the semantic hendecagon, is proposed. It is hoped that the study will shed light on the development of approaches for reaching meaning by identifying the similar and different aspects of the terms content, meaning, notion and concept.
