Bu araştırmanın amacı, Trakya Üniversitesi’nde öğrenimgören uluslararası öğrencilerin profilini ve oryantasyongereksinimlerini belirlemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında, Trakya Üniversitesi’ne yeni kayıtyaptıran, hazırlık ve birinci sınıfta okuyan uluslararası öğrencileroluşturmaktadır (N=171). Araştırma betimsel tarama modelindeolup, araştırmada “Öğrenci Profili Anketi” ile “Yeni KayıtYaptıran Öğrenciler için Oryantasyon GereksinimleriniDeğerlendirme Anketi” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerinanalizinde frekans ve yüzdelik dağılımları kullanılmıştır.Araştırmanın bulgularına göre, öğrencilerin daha çok sağlık veeğitim alanını tercih ettikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca kalitelieğitim göreceklerini düşündükleri için Trakya Üniversitesi’ni ilksıralarda tercih ederek geldikleri belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerinüniversite ile ilgili özellikle bölüm, staj ve burs programları,yerleşke ve yakın çevresi, yerleşkede bulunan sosyal faaliyetler vepsikolojik danışma hizmetleri ile ilgili oryantasyon gereksinimleriolduğu tespit edilmiştir.
The purpose of this research is to determine the profile of the international students and the orientation requirements of the students studying at Trakya University. The sample of the study constitutes international students who are newly enrolled in Trakya University and study preparatory and first grade in 2017-2018 academic year (N = 171). The research is in a descriptive model and the "Student Profile Questionnaire" and the "Questionnaire Survey on Orientation Requirements for Newly Enrolling Students" were used in the research. Frequency and percentage distribution were used in the analysis of the obtained data. According to the findings of the research, it is concluded that students prefer more health and education area. In addition, it is determined that they prefer Trakya University because they think they will receive quality education. It is determined that students have orientation requirements related to university, especially department, internship and scholarship programs, campus and their surroundings, social activities in the campus and psychological counseling services.
