The history of Bulgarian Turkish periodicals and Bulgarian Turkish literature, which developed in relation to each other in the historical process, dates back to the Ottoman Period. It is seen that these two areas, which were quite rich and colorful at that time, received many blows during and after the Second World War and were adversely affected by the political developments. Our subject of work, Yeni Işık (Nova Svetlina), is a newspaper that started its publication life in this process and has been published for 45 years. In the introduction part of the study, information about the Bulgarian Turkish periodicals was given and the literary genres that developed around Bulgarian Turkish literature were mentioned. Afterwards, information about the publication policy, content and processes of Yeni Işık Newspaper was shared. In the study, the newspaper, which we can access from the Bulgarian Sofia National Library, was examined between 1971 and 1985, and the identified literary genres were evaluated in terms of form and content. In the scans made, besides folk literature products such as folk songs, tales and anecdotes, stories, conversations, essays, travel writings and poems were frequently encountered. Among these genres, the most common literary genres are poetry and stories. For this reason, these two types are discussed in more detail in the review section. In the examinations made, it has been determined that both genres are very rich in form and content, and similar in terms of language and stylistic features. The main purpose of the study is to bring the works written by writers and poets into society, taking into account the political profile of the journal. Since the newspaper was completely written in Bulgarian language after 1985, the data obtained is extremely valuable for Turkish, which is still alive in Bulgaria.
