Steganography is information hiding method which has been used since ancient times. Due to the developing technology, to perceive the data in digital media is very difficult. Therefore, steganography is especially is used in the making plan over terrorist attacks nowadays. One of the common methods used for hiding information on image files is LSB (Least Significant Bit Insertion) method. On the other hand, RS steganalysis is used in LSB method to find out hidden information on 8-bit and 24-bit colored images. In the presented paper, a computer program which hides information on 24 bit BMP formatted image file has been developed and we have examined resistance of our program against RS Steganalysis. Moreover, a detailed comparison with other programs exist in the literature is given combined with our results. © 2008 Atilla Elçi.
