İşte var olamama (presenteeizm), hemşirelikle ilişkilendirilen bir kavram olması nedeniyle dünya literatüründe hemşirelik alanında daha fazla ilgi görürken, ülkemizde bu konuyla ilgili çok az çalışma bulunmaktadır. Hemşirelikte işte var olamama bakım kalitesini ve maliyetini, çalışan verimliliğini, hasta güvenliğini etkilemektedir. Hemşire yetersizliği gibi uzun vadede çözülebilecek sorunların dünya gündeminde olması, işte var olamama gibi kısa vadede düzeltilebilir hemşire davranışlarının önemini daha da artırmaktadır. Bu bağlamda derlemenin amacı, hemşirelikte işte var olamamaya dikkat çekmek ve uluslararası literatür ışığında nedenlerini ve sonuçlarını açıklamaktır
Presenteeism, because it is a concept which is related to nursing, there ismore interest in nursing field in world literature while there is very littlework in this subject in our country. The phenomenon of presenteeismin nursing is important because it affects the quality and cost of care,employee productivity and patient safety. In addition, the fact that theproblems that can be solved in the long term such as nurse shortageare on the world agenda increases the importance of correctable nursingbehaviors such as presenteeism in the short term. The aim of this reviewis to draw attention to the phenomenon of presenteeism in nursing andto explain the concept of presenteeism, its measurement, the reasonsand outcomes of presenteeism behavior based on international literature.
