In recent years, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) has made a significant impact on various sectors of society, including education. Technologies, digital tools and mobile applications are increasingly being used in foreign language teaching in particular. Among these applications, the ChatGPT robot, equipped with artificial intelligence, stands out and plays an important role in promoting foreign language learning. By using ChatGPT, learners are given the opportunity to learn a foreign language and develop basic language skills. The main objective of this study is to show, using concrete examples, how artificial intelligence ChatGPT supports the development of language skills and which specific activities can be carried out in the process. In addition, an attempt was made to present discussions and disadvantages of ChatGPT. The researcher was placed in the role of a foreign language learner in order to appropriately include the learner's perspective. Based on the results of this study, proposals for future research approaches were also presented. These recommendations are intended to help make the use of artificial intelligence, especially ChatGPT, more effective in foreign language teaching and to improve the learning outcomes of students in the long term.
