Özet

Induction motors are crucial in industrial and commercial applications due to their reliability, efficiency, and low maintenance requirements. They account for a significant portion of global energy consumption, making their optimization essential for enhancing energy efficiency and reducing operational costs. A careful balance of mechanical, electrical, and thermal factors is necessary in the design of a three-phase squirrel cage induction motor to achieve maximum performance. This paper presents the design and performance evaluation of a 3-kW Squirrel Cage Induction Motor engineered to meet the high-efficiency standards set by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) under the IE3 classification. The motor features advanced materials and optimized geometries, resulting in reduced losses and improved thermal management.
