Özet
In this study, the displacements resulting from the tensile stresses and forces of thin-walled cylindrical composite
membranes exposed to tensile load are investigated. The layers are grouped, and the effective stiffness matrices,
OEA, OEB and OED are obtained for each group according to classical lamination theory. The axial, circumferential,
and radial displacements are calculated by taking into account the material type, the number of layers, the
stacking sequence, and the orientation angle. In this study, in which hybrid composite layers/laminates are used,
the optimum design of the cylindrical pipe/tube is obtained by considering three types of displacements. It is
observed that symmetrical and non-symmetrical sequences have no significant effect on the axial displacements
in particular. However, the orientation angle (30°) is found to be of critical importance for the displacements of
composite laminas.
