Nowadays, Oil Wrestling, a cultural heritage still continues to be sustained every year by Orhan Ghazi’s and Sarı Saltuk’s Akıncı/Alperens’(combatants) descendants/ Fatihans (those coming from the conquerors’ descendant) in many areas of the Balkan geography extending from Hungary to Macedonia and Kosovo, Bulgaria and Greece, Gagauzia, Montenegro and Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is indicated by various resources that ‘Historical Secek Plateu and Alantepe Plateu Oil Wrestling Events and Cultural Activities’ (*) have been organised every year for about seven centuries at Alantepe Plateu and Secek (Hloi) Plateu, one of the peak points of Rhodop mountains, away from today’s Turkish Republic borders and the researcher has participated in these events 13 times in total from 2004 until now. This research is composed of the comparison of his determinations regarding his observations and existence in the activities belonging to the year 2018 that he determined as the sample and an investigation on whether or not these events are based upon ‘honest and fair competition’. Conclusion: These events are based upon honesty and fair play.
