Bu araştırmada, öğretmen adaylarının Facebook sosyal ağ sitesinin eğitsel bağlamdakullanımına ilişkin görüşlerinin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi ve Facebook sosyal ağsitesinin eğitim bağlamında kullanımı ile bu sosyal ağ sitesinin benimsenmesi arasındaki ilişkinindeğerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma ilişkisel tarama modeline göre desenlenmiştir. Çalışmaörneklemini, 2012 -2013 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Trakya Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesindeöğrenim gören 345 öğretmen adayı oluşturma ktadır. Veriler, Sosyal Ağların Eğitsel Kullanımı Ölçeği,Sosyal Ağların Benimsenmesi Ölçeği ve kişisel bilgiler formu ile elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizindebetimsel istatistikler, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis H ve korelasyon testlerinden yararlanılmıştır.Araştırma bulguları, öğretmen adaylarının Facebook sosyal ağ sitesinin eğitsel bağlamda kullanımınailişkin görüşlerinin orta düzeyin üzerinde olduğunu ve Facebook sosyal ağ sitesinin eğitsel bağlamdakullanımı ile bu sosyal ağ sitesinin benimsenmes i arasında orta düzeyde bir ilişki olduğunugöstermiştir. Araştırmada ayrıca, öğretmen adaylarının Facebook sosyal ağ sitesinin eğitsel bağlamdakullanımına ilişkin görüşleri ile cinsiyet, sosyal ağ sitesi kullanım sıklığı ve öğrenim görülen bölümdeğişkenleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark olduğu bulgusu elde edilmiştir.
In this study, it was aimed to analyze the views of the pre-service teachers in using theFacebook social networking site in educational context in terms of several variables and to evaluatethe relationship between the use of this social networking site in educational context and the adoptionof the Facebook social networking site. The research was designed according to the relationalscreening model. The study sample included 345 pre-service teac hers studying at Trakya UniversityFaculty of Education in 2012 -2013 academic year spring term. The data were obtained by usingEducational Use of Social Networks Scale, Social Networks Adoption Scale and personal informationform. The analysis of data was conducted by descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U-Test, Kruskal-Wallis H and correlation tests were benefited. The research findings revealed that the views of pre-service teachers in using Facebook social networking site in educational context was over the mid-level and the relationship between the use of this social networking site in educational context and theadoption of the this social networking site was at mid-level. Moreover, in the research a statisticallysignificant difference was obtained between the views of pre -service teachers in using Facebooksocial networking site in educational context and gender, frequency of using social networking andthe department of study variables.
