33rd IEEE Conference on Signal Processing and Communications Applications, SIU 2025, İstanbul, Türkiye, 25 - 28 Haziran 2025, (Tam Metin Bildiri)
Dermatophytes are a type of fungus that can infect the hair, nails, and skin, making them a significant cause of dermatological diseases. Infections caused by dermatophytes negatively impact the quality of life and pose a particular risk for individuals with weakened immune systems. The potential of artificial intelligence in image classification plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate diagnosis and expediting the treatment process. In this study, deep learning models VGG16, EfficientNetB0, and MobileNetV3 were employed for the classification of microscopic images of dermatophytes. Among these models, VGG16 demonstrated the most balanced performance, achieving an accuracy of %78.9.
